When making decisions at Sourcegraph, it's important to:

  1. Gather input from people with relevant knowledge.
  2. Decide quickly and precisely.
  3. Communicate the decision and the rationale clearly.
  4. Review the decision with the benefit of hindsight to understand what we got right or wrong.

These things become more important as we grow, so we're trying to be more deliberate about decision-making. To do so, we're trying out recording these decisions in Decisions (Google Sheet).
