Document product history background for code insights

Wanted to document this for A.M. (Product Director) onboarding next week – as a PM it's the kind of background that I think would help me understand some initial questions from a different angle (things like "why does this team exist, what were the original product goals, why is it in the org in this specific place, why do I keep hearing about 'needing to build a backend' if the team has been around for a year").
