Error after saving external service (screenshot below)

A user who ran through onboarding ran into an error after adding their github access token to an external service and hitting save After hitting the save button, this was the error shown:
It appears the error was ephemeral and didn't actually matter, because things started working after anyway and it appeared to have saved. This is a bad UX.
