insights: popover too easy to miss visually?

Design concern – the way the popover is presented makes something similar to a “slip” easy, in that if the user isn’t anticipating where the popover will appear, it’s easy to miss it altogether, even if it seems like that shouldn’t be possible. The combination of the popover appearing in an atypical location (to the right vs. below/above); the relevant insight receiving a prominent border at the same moment the popover is shown; and the popover’s container being almost exactly the same visually as the insight card itself, other than the drop shadow, makes it possible to slip and just not realize that the filter popover is open.
