Sourcegraph for VS Code: VPN issue

• Sourcegraph version: 3.36.3
• Platform information: Extension Version: 2.0.6, VSCode Version: 1.64.1, MacOS 11.6

Steps to reproduce:

1. Connect to VPN to access private instance
2. Add Access Token and instance URL to settings.json

Expected behavior:

Search results are returned.

Actual behavior:

The connection was closed before your search was completed. This may be due to a problem with a firewall, VPN or proxy, or a failure with the Sourcegraph server.
