JetBrains: Search input autocomplete dropdowns opens after enter is pressed

This is a bit unexpected. When I press enter, I confirm that I do no longer want to edit the search query but only navigate the search results. It can happen though that the dropdown does either open after I press dropdown (as suggestions are coming in) or does not close when I press enter.

This leads to a bad UX where I want to use arrow keys to browse the results but the arrow keys are forwarded to the dropdown instead.
